Probably a glitch from your provider. It should be alright by now.

First off,


check that you can access the internet - no internet means no emails





Secondly,


check the status for your ISP - they usually report problems with email servers etc on their homepages.





Thirdly,


check that your firewall hasn't blocked access to the pop server - if you can, pause the firewall and check for email - if okay, you'll need to find the line in your firewall rules relating to your pop server and remove the block

Can I still use outlook express for my email if I have Verizon Fios now?

Yes you can. Set it up like this:





Go to Tools


Accounts


If you have accounts set up just choose one and click properties, if you don't, choose add and then follow the steps given on your screen.





When it comes time for the server info:





incoming mail server is: POP3


incoming mail is: incoming.verizon.net


outgoing mail is: outgoing.verizon.net





The e-mail name is going to be what ever you email name is without the "@verizon.net"


don't forget to put in you password

yes. If you go to verizon's home page and search help for POP3/IMAPI you will find the settings for OLE.

Open Outlook Express. Click on the Tools menu.


Step2


Click on Options.


Step3


Click on Maintenance.


Step4


Click on Store Folder. Locate the name of the folder where your files were stored. These files often include outgoing email messages or messages that you sent to someone. Note the name of the folder.


Step5


Close Outlook Express.


Step6


Double-click the Recycle Bin icon on your Windows desktop.


Step7


Look at the side menu options. Click on “Restore most recent sent items (.bak files)”. Close the Recycle Bin.


Step8


Open Windows File Explorer, or simply right-click on the Start button and select “Explore”. Find the folder you located in Step 4. If you don’t see it in the Windows File Explorer, you can always select “Find” from the Start menu. Open the folder that holds your deleted files.


Step9


Click Tools, then Folder Options, and select View. Then, enable the “Display hidden and system files” in the same folder.


Step10


Remove the checkmark in “Hide extensions of known file types”. You will see the Sent Items.dbx file and the Sent Items.bak. file.


Step11


Rename the Sent Items.DBX to Sentold.dbx. Rename the Sent Items.Bak to Sent Items.DBX. Open Outlook Express. Your messages should be restore

What do you mean by "my official email account"? Is this the email account you got from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? If so, contact your ISP, for settings are different for each ISP. If you mean a Yahoo! Mail account, check the link below for detailed instructions:

Recently I install AVG anti Virus and started using them .


When I went to read my Email in outlook Express , the AVG Anti


Virus started scanning my mail and will not cease until it


is time out and I cannot view my mail . Pls help.





My AVG Anti Virus is downloaded just a week ago.

go to AVG control center and turn off the email scanning option.


i have the same setting as yours but it never cause me problem. you might want to reinstall AVG again.
Reply:In AVG settings there will be an option called scan all incoming mails. Uncheck that option and it will solve your problem.
Reply:There is a way to disable AVG. But if you are looking for afree virus scan i recomend avast antivirus or antivir there freeware and good.
