How do I link an external email with outlook express?

Agreeing with the first answer, not all external email can be linked to Outlook without paying for premium services.

However, if you're using gmail, all you need to do is get on their website FAQ and look up "Export to Outlook", or anything with "Outlook" in it. They'll then tell you what the correct servers are.

After that, open Outlook, go to tools/accounts, and then select 'add email service'.

If you still need answers, feel free to email me through my website (yahoo answers email is limited in space).

What type of external email? I imagine by this you mean a web based email like Hotmail or Yahoo, both of those you have to pay for their services to enable POP3 access, or allow access in Outlook Express, other email like Gmail allows you to do this for free, if its an email from your Internet Provider, you may need to contact them to verify the servers, and any additional settings they may have.
