How do i set outlook express as the main default email?

I know how to set the default in internet explorer...however, there is a scanner I have which has a SCAN to EMAIL function, and it opens OUTLOOK, instead of outlook express...





How do i get outlook express recognized as the default email client overall in the computer??
How do i set outlook express as the main default email?
Go to control panel, internet options, program tab, E-mail: drop down box choose outlook express, click ok button to finalize.
