Outlook express email formatting is wacked out, how do I fix?

Computer is 98 windows, running outlook expres for email. I dont know what happened but now when I either "create and email" or "respond to email" the little email block is locked in down in the lower left corner of my computer, so i can not see what i am typing. I have tried to drag the block up to the center but it will not work. I can not write emails now...can anyone suggest how to fix? Thank you in advance:)
