Contact your ISP, they can walk you through their settings.
Reply:If you have someone's email address you can email them regardless of what program you or they are using
Reply:Hi, when you first get a computer it's fun to use outlook express but I gaurantee you that you will get a virus that way. No matter what kind of virus protection you have there is no doubt, 100% sure you will get one.

I used outlook express (and other programs) and here is the problem if you are "downloading" the mail to your computer.

There are so many viruses out there that its like russian roulette that sooner or later one will make it through and ruin all your data on your computer.

I had the best antivirus programs on my computer and still I was having to pay to get my computer back running again and again every time a virus got through.

My advice for you is to not use it. Use a web based email program. They are free and simple and it does the same thing as outlook EXCEPT all the mail is on THEIR server not yours.

So you keep the junk off your computer.

I haven't had a virus ever since I started using yahoo.

I recommend yahoo.com as they give you tons of space. Hotmail you get too much spam.

I know this doesn't answer your question but I don't want you to get viruses but nevertheless here is the answer below.

First you have to find out what the smtp setting and pop settings are from your Internet co. you use.

Then you go into outlook at type the smtp setting where it says smtp and the pop where it says pop.

Its a pain in the you know what and thus another reason to use a web based email program.

If you want a lot of space use gmail as that is free and the best free out there. After that one there is yahoo.com
