Reply:your mail server settings are incorrect or theres a problem with the mail server.

go to the mail accounts settings and check the details are the correct ones supplied by your isp or mail provider
Reply:Most of the Outlook Express error messages are due to problems with the internet connection, not the software on your computer.

More details with the solution is available at http://errors.in/outlookexpress.html
Reply:You need to enter the incoming and outgoing server settings of the account your ISP provided - you can get these details by contacting your ISP if you don't know them

for example Tiscali's settings would be

incoming - pop.tiscali.co.uk (port 110)

outgoing - smtp.tiscali.co.uk (port 25)

most ISPs provided help pages online on how to set up Outlook Express to enable you to send and receive emails

if you are using a web based mail service like gmail or yahoo mail, you have first to make sure that you have activated POP3 in your settings online.

Talk to your ISP!
Reply:It means you have the wrong server identified in your settings. Verify with your email provider that what you have is correct.
